What is the independent variable, dependent variable, and control group of this situation?

bart and lisa are curious to know if exercise increases their memory. so bart hops on to the treadmill and lisa tries to play a memory game and times the time it takes for her to finish it.when lisa is done playing the game and bart is finished exercising he then plays the game to see if he gets a better time than lisa. What is the independent variable, dependent variable, and control group of this situation?
Independent: The treadmill [Independent Variable is the thing or action that is changed, in order to get different results.]

Dependent: Time it takes to play memory game [What is effected becuase of the Independent Variable]

Control Group: Lisa [The group that does not use or receive the independent variable]

Glad to help! What is the independent variable, dependent variable, and control group of this situation?

hmmm that's a tough one...im pretty sure the control group would be lisa......and im guessing your variables are the exercise and how good their memories already were, but im not sure which is which....but then again i could be completely wrong lol oh well hope i helped anyway
memory improvement DEPENDS on the independant courses of action each took
