What is a control group an independant varible dependent variable and everything else?

Control group= the standard, what you compare your results to

Independent variable= what you change in the experiment, what you are testing

Dependent variable= what changes from altering the independent variable

Example!

In an experiment where you compare two plants, one that uses miracle-gro and one that doesn't

Control: The plant that isn't using miracle-gro (something to compare the other results to)

Independent variable: whether or not you put miracle-gro on or not (what you change betweenthe two variables)

Dependent variable: Plant growth (what the independent variable changes)What is a control group an independant varible dependent variable and everything else?
An independant variable is something that you are testing in your experiment, like added plant food or amount of water given to a plant. The control group is the group without the independant variable, like the group with no plant food. The dependant variable is a result of the independant variable, like the growth of the plant.
