If i am conducting an experiment, which is the control variable?

choose among the following

1. 0 ml of water given a plant

2. 5 ml of water given a plant

3. 15 ml of water given a plant

4. 25 ml of water given a plantIf i am conducting an experiment, which is the control variable?
It depends on your hypothesis. If you are trying to prove the relationship between the amount of water and plant growth, none of the above. The controls would be keeping everything else in the experiment equal: plant size, type, amount of sunlight, soil, etc. What you have above is what is called the experimental variable, the thing you are trying to prove. If i am conducting an experiment, which is the control variable?
we can't help you if you just give us one small part of the whole question...
