What is control/ variable in the scientific method?

The Variable is the thing that is changed in an experiment

The Control is the group in the experiment that does not have the variable. Not all experiment s have a control.

However, the Controlled Variables are Variables in the experiment that do not change. They are kept the same in every part of the experiment. What is control/ variable in the scientific method?
When testing scientific method, you need to have what is called ';control';, which acts as the normal results of the experiement.

Then anything which is tested against it is called the variable, because the results can vary, can be different from the regular results of the control.

The control will ALWAYS have the same results, over and over again. Because it is ';controlled'; to have the same results.

The variable has different results, because parts of the controlled are then changed to see what happens.
