Whats the control group , dependent variable ,independent variable and what should smithers conclusion be?

Smithers thinks that a special juice will increase the productivity of workers. He creates two groups of 50 workers each and assigns each group the same task (in this case, they're supposed to staple a set of papers).Group A is given the special juice to drink while they work.Group B is not given the special juice. After an hour,Smithers count how many stacks of papers each group has made.Group A made 1,587 stacks,Group B made 2,113 stacks.Whats the control group , dependent variable ,independent variable and what should smithers conclusion be?
The control group is a group that has been picked out to perform an experimental task under certain given condition(s). Here, there are two control groups -- one that was chosen to drink the special juice and the other was the group that was not given the special juice.

The dependent variable is the number of stacks that each group can make.

The independent variable is probably the ';amount of special juice'; that the control group consumed during the testing period.

Smither's conclusion should be that the original premise that a special juice will increase workers' productivity is NOT TRUE. In fact, test results showed that the group given the special juice even made less stacks than the group who was not given the juice.

SIDE NOTE : Perhaps, Group A's output was slowed down because they ';wasted a lot of times'; drinking the special juice instead of simply performing the task at hand. :-)))
