What is the control and variables of a mold experiment?

to be more specific on the experiment all i did was get out a banana bread cheese n milk and left it out and checked it for mold everyday for 4 days.

and wat does it mean to support ur claim??

thanks for all who answer :)What is the control and variables of a mold experiment and what does it mean to support ur claim?
In any scientific experiment, first you have to define what your question is. If you want to monitor the amount of mold colonies in a a banana, bread, cheese, and milk that has been left out, then you would want to first take your control ( in this case probably a picture of the items on Day 1). A control is your base line or what you are comparing the results of your find to.

Your claim is the result of your experiment after the time has expired. So in this case after X amount of days we have determined that x amount of mold colonies has grown. You support this by showing your control picture versus your end results either picture or actual items. Show the comparison in as detailed a format as possible.

I hope this helps you out.
