My Project included Salt, Water, the Temp. and the time it takes to boil.
Which is which.
The amount of water is set at 1 1/2 cups.
The salt varies
The temp varies and the time varies. Help ASAPIn my science fair project, I need to know the control, indepent variable and dependent variable.?
the independent variables are the varience in the time and temp and salt
the dependent variable is the time it takes to boil (its always what you measure)
the control it the normal water with no salt that you are comparing the other one with salt to (its the ';standard';)
click the link below for detailsIn my science fair project, I need to know the control, indepent variable and dependent variable.?
water is control
salt is independent variable
temperature and time are dependent variables
control is water
independent salt water
dependented time it takes
your control the amount of water and heat
your changing the salt
the time DEPENDS on the salt.
The control variables are all the variables that you keep the same for each trial. You should have lots of control variables. Amount of water would be one control.
The independent variable is the variable that you change in each trial. The amount of salt you used would be the independent variable.
The dependent variable is like the results. The dependent variable changes when you change the independent variable. The time it took to boil is the dependent variable.
control is water without salt the independent variable is the amount of salt and the dependent is how long it takes to boil
Just in case your teacher asks, I'll just tell you what they are.
The control is what stays the same.
The independent variable is what you're testing.
And the dependent variable is what you're measuring.
In this case, you need to have a control but the independent variable is the time it takes to boil and the dependent variable is the amount of water you boil.
The salt, since it varies, is probably your variable.
